My name is Ruger, and I'm a 2-year-old male terrier and Chihuahua mix.  After being abandoned near a highway, my brothers, Remington, Trigger and I lived as strays for weeks until we were rescued. With a little coaxing and the promise of food, some caring HOPE members saved us from a potentially terrible fate. Although I'm a bit shy, I should come out of my shell soon enough.  I really am a sweet boy, but I will need an understanding owner to help me become accustomed to life as a pet.

HOPE for Animals' dog adoption fee is $100. This includes initial vaccinations and spay/neuter. All dogs adopted through HOPE must have a fenced yard. Other pets in the household must be spayed/neutered and a good vet reference is required.
